The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Broadcast Journalism with a minimum of 2 to 3 years professional news reporting experience. Public radio journalism experience is helpful, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not limited to the following: excellent interviewing, writing, and radio storytelling skills and be able to work successfully under tight deadlines; strong audio digital editing skills; pitch and produce stories to be used by National Public Radio; have a strong news judgment and interpersonal skills.
